Solo crash in Vista leaves one dead

FILE A badge for a San Diego sheriff s deputy Courtesy San Diego County Sheriff s Office One man is dead following a solo bus crash into a tree in Vista on Saturday evening According to the Vista sheriff s substation a sedan failed to negotiate a right turn near the intersection of N Santa Fe Dr and N Paseo Marguerita and collided with a tree Its driver a -year-old man got out of the motorcycle and left the scene A little over an hour later deputies responded to a call about an unconscious person at the block of Apollo Dr also in the city of Vista When they arrived they discovered that the unconscious person was the driver of the sedan Tragically the person succumbed to their injuries the Vista station announced in a release The cause of the crash is now under review by Vista Sheriff s Station Traffic Investigators and the Therapeutic Examiner s Office The driver has not yet been identified Investigators are also looking into whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or captured the development on video is urged to please call the San Diego County Sheriff s Office at - or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at - to remain anonymous
